PowerShell BackupScript Version 1.3 released

I have updated my PowerShell Backup Script and want to provide you the new Release

I have added some New Feature, Send Log File via Mail, Exclude Dirs, Zip the Content and fixes some Bugs.

Please comment and rate the Script on TechNet

  3. Works great – Not sure if it was the intent: If you do not set the ZIP requirement, then it does not delete any older backups.

  4. Sehr gutes Skript!
    Ich nutze es für Backups auf eine externe Platte. Diese ist allerdings nicht immer eingeschaltet, da sie nicht immer benötigt wird.
    Wäre es möglich, dass in dem Skript eine Art Warte-Funktion eingefügt wird? Also dass es sich nicht direkt beendet, wenn die Platte nicht gefunden wurde, sondern, dass es sporadisch (jede Minute zB) checkt, ob die Platte an ist und das Backup erst dann startet?
    Wäre echt super, dann könnte ich es ohne Probleme wöchentlich automatisch ausführen.

    das kann mit einer DO WHILE Schleife und einem TRY CATCH einfach gemacht werden, nur passt dieser Fall nicht ganz zu meiner Idee dieses Skriptes.

    Ich habe zwei Fragen. Wenn ich das Skript vom USB Stick betreiben will um zwei oder 3 verschiedene Rechner zu sichern; wie kann ich den “AppData\Roamings\SysMailConfig\Settings”, der bei jedem PC andere Zugangsdaten speichert mit sichern lassen?
    Wenn ich den USB Stick als Destination Laufwerk nutzen will, wie kann man es ändern, dass das Skript dort speichert, von wo aus das Skript gestartet wird?

  7. Hi, das appdata Verzeichnis solltest du per %appdata% bekommen und das mit dem Stick ist etwas umständlicher.
    Am einfachsten wäre hier den USB Stick auf allen Rechner den selben Buchstaben zu geben .
